Connecting to beachnet-guest-access

The Beachnet-Guest-Access network is available to University guests, such as prospective students and their family, vendors, alumnus, event participants, and other visitors that require temporary WiFi access.

Short-Term Guest Access

For temporary WiFi access, use the Self-Registration to generate a 1-day log-on pass. Please follow the step-by-step instructions below:

  1.  In your device WiFi settings, connect to beachnet-guest-access network.
  2. A browser will automatically open and display the campus guest login page.
    • If a browser does not open automatically, or you are not directed to the campus guest log-in page, open a browser (e.g., Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari) and navigate to an unencrypted website, such as http://www.ca.gov.
  3. Click on the Self-Register link in the box on the right-hand side.
  4. Enter a valid email address. Your temporary guest WiFi credentials will be sent to this email.
  5. Access your provided email address to obtain the temporary guest username and password, then return to the Beachnet Guest Access page to log in.

Longer-Term Guest Access

For longer-term guest access to the campus WiFi, a college or a department sponsor is required to request either a 1-day, 1 week, 30-day, or 90-day log-in pass. Sponsors are normally department staff organizing events on campus. Please contact the Technology Help Desk at (562) 985-4959, email at helpdesk@csulb.edu, or visit the service page to submit a request
