Service Overview
Beach TV is a local, nonprofit educational cable TV channel operated 24/7 on cable systems in Long Beach, Signal Hill, and Lakewood.
Service Details
Mandated by the FCC and California DIVCA regulations as a PEG (Public Access, Educational, and Governmental) channel, Beach TV currently is carried by Charter Cable (Channel 95) and Verizon FiOS (Channel 25) in Long Beach and Signal Hill, and by Time Warner Cable (Channel 28) in Lakewood.
Beach TV is managed, operated, and programmed by Advanced Media Production Center (AMP) within the College of Continuing & Professional Education (CCPE), and many programs are produced by AMP staff, student assistants, including CSULB students in Broadcast Journalism courses and Film and Electronic Arts Department.
