Service Overview

eduroam (education roaming) is a secure, world-wide roaming Wi-Fi access service developed for the international research and education community.  eduroam allows students, faculty and staff to connect to the campus network locally and access Internet connectivity when visiting other participating institutions. Users visiting our campus from other participating institutions will also be able to access the Internet using their own credentials.

Service Details

Connecting to eduroam requires the same steps as beachnet+ with the only change being using your full CSULB email address rather than your BeachID as the username.

The first time you connect to the eduroam wireless network, you will need to configure your device. After the initial configuration, the network will allow you to connect wherever it is supported.

  1. When you are visiting a participating institution, select eduroam from the available wireless networks on your device.
  2. To log in, enter your full CSULB email address as your user name (e.g., Jane.Doe@csulb.edu, Jane.Doe@student.csulb.edu) and your BeachID password.
  3. If prompted, accept the eduroam certificate.
