Connecting to BeachNet+ with Google Pixel

If supported, Google Pixel devices have a default wireless setting in which "Use randomized MAC (default)" is automatically selected. For security purposes, this setting is not compatible with campus Wi-Fi, and attempting to proceed with this setting will prevent your device from successfully connecting to any CSULB managed secure wireless networks.

To correctly configure this hardware addresses setting, follow the step-by-step instructions below:

1. Open the Settings app and select Network & internet

2. Tap Wi-Fi

3. Select beachnet+ from the list of available networks

4. Enter the required beachnet+ configuration

EAP method: PEAP

Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2

CA certificate: Do not validate

Identity: Campus ID number

Anonymous identity: Leave this field blank

Password: BeachID password

5. Expand on the Advanced settings to reveal Privacy settings

6. Select "Use randomized MAC (default)" setting and switch to "Use device MAC"
