Creating Email Templates in Outlook

Overview

Create a new email with the subject and content you would like the template to contain, and then reuse it when you want it.

Instructions

  1. On the Home tab, in the New group, click New E-mail
  2. Compose the content of the template in the message body.
  3. Go to File tab (of your email message, not your mailbox), and click Save As.
  4. Select “Outlook Template” from the FileType drop-down and save it to your desktop.
  5. Drag and drop the email template from your desktop into a designated folder within your Outlook.

Now it’s ready for you to use. Double-click the template and a new email will be created. When you send the email off, the original template will remain in your template folder.
