Below identifies the steps to setup an email on your Android mobile device (e.g. Samsung Galaxy S20+) to synchronize mail, calendar, and contacts with the CSULB email service. Android steps for native mail apps vary depending upon manufacturer and software version. If the steps below aren't successful, please consult your carrier support documentation.
To Remove Your University Email from Your Android and Chromebook Device:
- Locate and tap on your Email application icon.
- Tap the three parallel lines (Hamburger)
- Tap the Gear
- Tap the email account you want to remove (will end in either @csulb.edu or @student.csulb.edu)
- Tap Remove
- Confirm
To Add Your University Provided Email to Your Android and Chromebook Device:
- Tap Settings
- Tap Accounts and backup
- Tap Accounts
- Tap Add Account
- Tap the native mail app, typically called Email
- Tap Office365
- Select Work or School Account
- Enter your full email address (e.g. first.last@csulb.edu)
- Enter your Campus ID password
- Select Sign in
- Tap Apply on when prompted for Remote security administration
- Name the Account and tap Done
- Tap Activate
- Tap Done
